Pastor-Teacher Mike Bryant was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. In 1961 he graduated from Hereford High School and in 1965, from Towson State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education while lettering in track. After two years of teaching in North Baltimore County, he resigned to attend Dallas Theological Seminary, where he earned a Masters Degree in Systematic Theology with a minor in Bible. Following graduation and ordination, Mike pastored of two churches before establishing Beleivers' Chapel, which became Fairview Bible Church upon completion of our new building in 2002.

     In addition, Mike served 6 years (1961-1967) in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, 4th Engineer Battalion, as a combat engineer. After an 8 year break in service, he accepted a direct commission with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, the 28th Division. He served as the battalion chaplain with the 1/112 Inf. (Mech.) in Erie, PA from 1975 to 1993. Upon promotion to major, he was transferred to Washington, PA. where he served as the 2nd Bridgade chaplain. In 1998, Mike retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 29 years of military service.

     Mike's wife Carol, also of Baltimore, MD. graduated from West Suburban School of Nursing and also attended Wheaton College. She is a registered nurse, certified by the State of PA. and works at the Gehring Health Center of Edinboro University. They have two children, Jonathan and Rebecca.
